Mother

Normally the mother’s share is 1/3, but it drops to 1/6 when the deceased leaves two or more siblings. (Mengurus Harta Pusaka, printed p.63)

How it works

Five steps, no guesswork

Step 01 of 05

Answer a short interview

Spouse, children, parents, siblings — the questions any faraid determination starts from, before touching arithmetic. About two minutes.

What you receive

Five things, not one number

You see your fractions free at the end of the interview, before any payment. What the report adds is everything that makes them usable: the whole settlement in the order syarak takes it, the pages each rule came from, and what to do next.

  1. The arithmetic, worked and cited

Kiraan penuh dengan rujukan muka surat

Asal masalah, tashih, every share as a fraction and then as ringgit — each rule traced to the book, the author and the printed page it came from, so anyone can check it against the book itself.

  2. The estate settled in order, not just divided

    Hibah → hutang → wasiat → faraid

Burial costs, debts, any hibah given during life and the wasiat capped at one third — taken off in the order syarak requires, before faraid touches what is left. Most calculators start after this step and quietly get the ringgit wrong.

  3. What changes if an heir dies before you

    Unjuran jika waris meninggal dahulu

The same estate recalculated for each heir who might not outlive you, side by side with today's split — the planning question a post-death calculator cannot answer at all.

  4. Your next steps, by agency

Dokumen dan pejabat yang perlu ditujui

Which documents to gather and where this specific estate goes — Mahkamah Syariah, Amanah Raya, or the land office — generated from your case, not a generic article.

  5. A PDF the rest of the family can read

    Laporan PDF berserta salasilah waris

Family-tree diagram, property table and full citations in one document, in English or Bahasa Malaysia. Made to be forwarded to heirs, an ustaz or a lawyer — they see the same sources you did.

Why it’s trustworthy

Citations over confidence

A number you cannot check is a number you cannot use in an argument with your own family. Every figure here can be traced to a page, and where the authors disagree, the disagreement is printed, not smoothed over.

Three authors, never blended

Mengurus Harta Pusaka, Kaedah Pembahagian Harta Pusaka, and Urus Harta Agih Pusaka each get attributed separately. Where they disagree, we say so.

Page-level citations

Not “trust us” — every fixed share and asabah rule points to the printed page it came from, so you can check it yourself.

The arithmetic, shown

Asal masalah, tashih adjustments, and the final verification that every part sums correctly — worked in full, not hidden behind a single output number.

Frequently asked

Questions families ask first

Straight answers about what a faraid estimate is, what it is not, and what the report will refuse to guess at.

01

Is this a Sijil Faraid? Adakah ini Sijil Faraid?

No. Only the Mahkamah Syariah issues a Sijil Faraid, and that certificate is the binding document. This report gives you a cited, worked estimate so you arrive at the court, a syarie lawyer, Amanah Raya or the Pejabat Pusaka Kecil already knowing what the shares should be — and which page of which book each one rests on. See a complete sample report.
02

Berapa bahagian isteri, suami dan anak? How much does a wife, husband or child receive?

A wife receives 1/8 of the net estate if the deceased left children (or grandchildren through a son), otherwise 1/4. A husband receives 1/4 with children, otherwise 1/2. Children take the remainder as asabah, a son receiving twice a daughter's share; a daughter alone receives 1/2, two or more daughters share 2/3. These are the Qur'anic shares; your report shows how they apply to your family, with the printed page each rule is taken from.
03

What is in the report? Apa yang ada dalam laporan?

The family tree of surviving heirs; the faraid working — asal masalah, any tashih, and the check that every part sums correctly; the estate waterfall from gross estate through funeral costs, debts, the 1/3 wasiat cap and hibah to the net estate; each heir's share as a fraction and in ringgit; a next-steps checklist naming the Malaysian office to go to; and a PDF you can share with the family.
04

Which references are cited? Rujukan apa yang digunakan?

Three published Malaysian faraid books: Mengurus Harta Pusaka (Wan Abdul Halim Wan Harun), Kaedah Pembahagian Harta Pusaka dan Kepentingan Wasiat (Ustaz Ghazali Ibrahim) and Urus Harta Agih Pusaka (Shamsuddin Kadir), each attributed separately and never blended. Advanced topics the books do not cover — Muqasamah, 'Aul, Radd, al-Akdariyyah — are cited to MAIS e-Faraid and the Mufti Wilayah Persekutuan. The madhhab throughout is Syafi'i.
05

Does it handle hutang, hibah, wasiat and harta sepencarian?

Yes. The interview asks about outstanding debts, funeral costs, hibah given during life, any wasiat and a harta sepencarian claim, and the report settles them in the correct order before the net estate is divided — hibah and the sepencarian share leave the estate first, debts are paid, then a wasiat is honoured up to one-third. Every step is shown, not hidden inside one number.
06

Are there cases the report will not calculate?

Yes, on purpose. When the fixed shares do not exhaust the estate and there is no asabah to take the residue (al-Radd), whether the surplus returns to the heirs or goes to Baitulmal is a live juristic dispute; the report sets out both positions with citations rather than silently choosing one. It never guesses at a figure someone might take to a land office.
07

Berapa harga? What does it cost, and what if the arithmetic is wrong?

One flat price per estate, paid once through Stripe by card or FPX — no subscription, and we never ask for your bank details. If the arithmetic in your report is wrong, tell us the case and we refund in full. How to claim.
